First Lady and First Deputy Speaker visit kitchen for Somali soldiers


The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Madam Sara Omar Hassan and the First Deputy Speaker of the Lower-House of the Somali Parliament, Mrs. Sadia Yasin Samatar visited kitchen established by the Somali women for making food for the Soldiers who are on the frontlines fighting the insurgents ti liberate their country.

Madam Sahra said “the Somali women are ready to support the liberation of Al-Shabab terrorists from Somalia”. Mrs. Sadia said “we as Somali women are standing by our Somali men and Soldiers who put upon themselves to liberate Somalia and fight the insurgents”.

Mogadishu’s police commissioner killed in a roadside explosion

  Mogadishu's Police Commissioner, Farhan Mohamoud Adan 'Qarole', was killed in a roadside bomb attack near Bal'ad district, 35km north of Mogadishu, on Friday. There are expected to be other casualties. Farhan Qarole was the ex-commander of the  Haramacad forces and took over as the Banadir regional police chief from Sadak Omar Hassan 'Sadak John'  in April 2021. Qarole survived at least two previous assassination attempts while Banadir's police chief, including an attack  in July 2021  that killed nine people and a recent attack days before the presidential election  in May  that killed eight.

Al-Sbabab member surrenders to SNA

  A member of the Al-Shabab terrorist group called Abdullahi Ali Hussein (Ali Qudaari)  surrendered to Somali National Army (SNA) in Galmudug regional state. Ali Qudaari says he was forcefully  recruited by the terrorist group during his childhood in Bacaadwayne village of Mudug province. SNA command in the region told the media that they are have welcoming several militants defecting from the insurgents in recent weeks. “The ongoing nationwide military offensive has put pressure on the terrorists, forcing them to flee from the hideouts,” a military sources told the media. So far in the operation, more than 40 areas were liberated, over 200 militants killed and up to 300 terrorists apprehended, pending for interrogation and trial process.
