Al-Sbabab member surrenders to SNA

 


A member of the Al-Shabab terrorist group called Abdullahi Ali Hussein (Ali Qudaari)  surrendered to Somali National Army (SNA) in Galmudug regional state.

Ali Qudaari says he was forcefully recruited by the terrorist group during his childhood in Bacaadwayne village of Mudug province.

SNA command in the region told the media that they are have welcoming several militants defecting from the insurgents in recent weeks.

“The ongoing nationwide military offensive has put pressure on the terrorists, forcing them to flee from the hideouts,” a military sources told the media.

So far in the operation, more than 40 areas were liberated, over 200 militants killed and up to 300 terrorists apprehended, pending for interrogation and trial process.
